January Favorites

It's January 1st, 2013!! We made it past 2012 with no horrific natural disasters, alien invasions or the highly anticipated zombie apocalypse that some of my friends seem to be freakishly excited about. I'd rather not have to deal with protecting my highly intelligent brain from being eaten by a gross walking corpse! Although I'd have to say I wouldn't mind meeting and interacting with my fellow alien friends...
Last year was all about giving myself up to my Air Sign, being spontaneous and living each day in the moment. As much as it was fun and wild, I started to miss being in control and knowing what I wanted to achieve in my life. I can be an all or nothing type of gal and I think having balance is a key to life. What I am most excited about for this new year is my new job, my plans to travel, making new hobbies, spending more time with my loved ones and self expression. What are you most excited about?
                                                            January Favorites

Spending time in nature, drinking tea and eating delicious cakes
while indulging in a good book with plants surrounding me.

Dreaming of visiting beautiful ice caves in Greenland on a ship with sails,
my faux fur coat on and a chai tea latte in hand...

Watercolor rose paintings

Eating treats like its a hibernating lifestyle.

Currently wearing pastel blue nail polish that I can't seem to get enough of.
The color I'm wearing is called Air.

Words to live by.

The cutest bento box. Newest obsession. Can't wait to try this out.

Beautiful living creatures on this earth with hearts so genuine and pure.

Tabasco was soooo 2012, its all about spicy Sriracha!

Watching the moon under the starry sky.
The crescent moon has always been my favorite.

And finally birthday cake. Cause it's my birthday month.
I'll be celebrating it with a seaweed mask, hot tea and cartoons, starting now!!!

Wookie Fashion Is In

Fall fashion would be here if it wasn't for the wonderful heat waves California has been enduring this past week...104 degree weather in fall, really? Either way, I'm looking forward to dressing in cozy clothing with faux fur coats being my staple piece this season. It makes me feel comfy and fancy without having to try. I dare say you might feel  "bougie" a.k.a. bourgeoisie wearing one but forget the conforming political term and have fun with it! So here's a little gallery of colorful, modern and nontraditional coats that I love so get inspired lovelies.

WOOKIE FASHION FOR THE WIN.

peace & love always,
Cassandra

P.S. We all have different beliefs. If you prefer real fur I'd like to kindly suggest hitting up a vintage store. That way you're recycling already made real fur instead of contributing to today's supply and demand. Remember, your dollar is your vote ;)

Open different doors. You may find a You there that you never knew was yours.

        Hello ever bright shining stars,

This week I decided to try a recipe I had never done before. Can you guess what it is?

Crepes!!  If you said pancake you're half right.

Not bad, huh? The raspberry sauce was D E L I C I O U S.
Lighter than a buttermilk pancake, it seems almost angelic to be indulging in a dainty French crepe.
This is definitely going to be a staple dish in my kitchen!

I also did a bit of window shopping for no apparent reason and somehow walked out with bags in my arms and a few awesome purchases.

My new favorite accessories, metal necklace and metal hair clasp...so shiny and futuristic.

You can never have enough cat eye sunglasses
Minty Green

These trees are so inspirational, so beautiful and are right outside on my street.
A gift from Mother Nature...

Hope you are all having a lovely week. Stay inspired and keep shining even through the darkest of times.
Love, me.

Ombré Lippy!

How awesome do these candy colored ombré lips look?? What a fun way to amp up your pout. Talk about making a Lip Statement. This seems like a perfect look for a wild night out. Although it's probably not the best idea for a first date if you're expecting that sweet goodnight kiss. These lips are eccentric and I'm loving it!!

Here's my Ombre Lippy

I am wearing
Bare Minerals Moxie
Mac Sheen Supreme
Limecrime Mint To Be

Would you rock the ombre lip?

Keep Shining!!
Love & good vibes,
Cassandra

Raindrops on Roses...

Since it was sprinkling yesterday I thought I would capture a few photos of how beautiful the raindrops are. They look like pretty gems sitting on the leaves and rose petals...a visual proof of how magical and giving nature can be.

With love,
Cassandra
